luxury RV rentals
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 14 ( NEWSWIRE) — Despite the recent climb in oil prices, RV travel is expected to reach record levels this year, according to Florida RV rental dealer Allstar Coaches. “It’s common for us to see a spike in sales during the summer, how-ever this year we’re seeing dramatic increases in bookings all the way through December and into 2012,” said CEO Rob Tischler.

Allstar operates a fleet of luxury motorhomes which are available for rental nationwide at strategically located depots in seven states. Earlier this year, the company opened two additional Florida locations and by the end of next year expects to open as many as twelve franchised locations across the country. “Since Florida RV rentals account for almost 40% of our overall sales, it was only natural to expand our operations there first,” added Tischler.

Industry insiders believe that the increased demand in RV travel is being driven by a rebounding economy combined with an educated consumer base that’s growing tired of the runaway costs, uncomfortable security screening and long delays associated with flying.

Adam Froman, a self-employed RVer who runs his graphics business from home, says that “Traveling in an RV equipped with satellite technology allows me the freedom to run my business while out on the road.” When asked whether fuel prices would affect his travel plans, Froman said “I’ll spend less traveling in the RV and preparing my own meals than I would by paying airfare, hotel and meals on a traditional trip and since I don’t have to deal with crowded air-ports; my vacation starts the minute I pull out of the driveway.”

Television networks and film crews have also taken notice of the RV industry, cashing in on its growing popularity. HGTV’s annual RV show is among the most watched specials on the network. Allstar Coaches was featured on ABC’s “The Bachelor” when Jake Pavelka and nine hopeful bachelorettes embarked on a RV trip up the California coast.

“People are beginning to understand that the benefits of RV travel far outweigh the costs and that’s helping to drive record sales,” says Tischler, “the price of oil isn’t slowing us down at all.”

Allstar Coaches has an RV rental for virtually any taste or budget and offers Florida RV rentals from locations in the Sunshine State, with additional locations in California, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Arizona and Nevada. For detailed pricing and information, call 866-838-4465 or visit Allstar Coaches online at www.allstarcoaches.com .

La Montana Costa Rica
GUANACASTE, Costa Rica, April 6 ( NEWSWIRE) — Costa Rica Development Group (CRDG) announces the opening of its newest community, La Montana at Coco Bay (www.lamontanacostarica.com). La Montana makes the dream of home ownership in a tropical setting a reality. Located along the Pacific Coast between Ocotal and Playas del Coco, La Montana is the latest addition to CRDG’s established residential community of Coco Bay Estates.

The ultimate in living green, La Montana home sites are on prime Costa Rica real estate, offering sweeping views of crystal blue seas and lush rainforests teeming with wildlife. Residents can custom-build their dream getaway on home sites starting as low as $70,000, or choose a finished custom home in the $300,000′s.

Residents will also have access to the newly-open amenities at The Club at Coco Bay, including a state-of-the art tennis and fitness centre, a 37-meter tropical pool with waterfalls and water slides, and a private beach club on Ocotal Beach.

On any given day at The Club at Coco Bay, people from all over the world can be found relaxing by the pool, playing tennis, riding jet skis, mingling on the beach, and watching the monkeys swing around the club grounds.

La Montana is close to shops, restaurants, medical facilities, the exquisite Four Seasons Resort and an international air-port. Strong Internet access plus abundant non-stop flights to the U.S. make telecommuting easy.

“We are proud that La Montana allows a cross-section of residents, from teachers to doctors to empty-nesters, to escape hectic American life and re-energize in their beautiful Costa Rica homes,” says Julian Rembert, founder of CRDG. “It’s wise to buy property in Costa Rica, with optimum value and lower investment costs than beach homes in Hawaii, California, Florida and other U.S. coastal cities.”

Low residential taxes, unrestricted ownership for non-nationals and excellent relations with the U.S. make Costa Rica real estate a good investment. The Financial Times of London recently named Costa Rica one of the most attractive locations for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Central America and the Caribbean.

CRDG streamlines the process of buying property in Costa Rica at the La Montana development. It is easy for La Montana owners to secure comprehensive property management services while they are away, or if the property is used as an income-generating vacation rental.

New Mexico travel
FARMINGTON, N.M., April 6 ( NEWSWIRE) — In view of the snow-capped San Juans to the north, with the iconic Shiprock floating on the skyline to the west, Farmington is a rugged oil boom town rapidly emerging as a destination for outdoor adventurers. “Our climate, rivers and wilderness areas make outdoor activities a major attraction for visitors,” says Debbie Dusenbery, director of the Farmington Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The dry and temperate high-altitude climate permits year-round fishing, four wheeling, golfing, hiking and biking through a spectacular landscape of canyons, mesas, and unusual hoodoos formations.

Dusenbery adds: “Farmington is known as a sporting playground. In recent years, we have begun to host sizeable outdoor events like The Four Corners Xterra Triathlon coming up in June.”

Farmington lies in the heart of the Four Corners near the spot where Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado meet. Three rivers, the Animas, the La Plata and the San Juan merge in its town centre.

Top attractions for outdoor recreation fans in the Farmington area include:
* Fly fishing along the Quality Waters of the San Juan River draws fly-fishing enthusiasts from around the world to catch and release big trout.
* OHV buffs hit the trails in the Glade Run Recreation Area where trails wind past boulders, slick rock, and through foothills dotted with Juniper and Pinon. Separate areas are set aside for rock crawling, hiking and mountain biking.
* Animas and Berg Parks bordering the Animas River in Farmington have riverside and woodland trails for walkers, bicyclists, equestrians and bird watchers. In this area, the Animas is slow moving, a good place for canoeing and rafting.
* Fantastic windsurfing in 75-degree water year-round on Morgan Lake, the cooling pond for Arizona Public Service Power Plant is a destination for wind surfers anytime but the winds in spring are legendary.

Farmington also offers one of the most challenging and affordable municipal golf courses in the country. Pinon Hills Golf Course is perennially rated by Golfweek Magazine as one the best municipal golf courses in the United States.

As the commercial hub in the Four Corners, Farmington has a wide range of lodging, restaurants and retail shopping. B & B’s include the Silver River Adobe Inn operated by biker and birder Diana Olsen and her husband and Kokopelli’s Cave, a luxury B & B in a cave dwelling. Several attractive motels border the Animas River. For a list, check the Bureau website http://www.farmingtonnm.org/ or call 1-800-448-1240.

GoLocalApps
SACRAMENTO, Calif., April 5 ( NEWSWIRE) — Northern California wine tourists will soon have two more free iPhone wine guide apps, just in time for upcoming seasonal events. In April, GoLocalApps, a unit of 1776 Productions, will be releasing apps for the Santa Barbara County Vintners’ Association (SBCVA) and the Winegrowers of Dry Creek Valley (WDCV). The apps will allow users to sort wineries by distance, varietal, amenities and, as with the SBVCA app, by region and AVA.

Designed by GoLocalApps, the user interfaces feature simple, intuitive designs that make it easy for wine lovers to browse events, share their experiences on Twitter and Facebook and find the information they need while they are out and about. GoLocalApps realizes that people’s approach to wine tasting is to visit specific areas. Rather than creating “mega-apps,” that encompass huge regions, such as all of Sonoma Valley or the entire Central Coast, GoLocalApps creates niche, regional apps, such as the Livermore Valley, Dry Creek, Lodi, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, and Santa Barbara, to name a few. Additionally, their apps are easily found in the iTunes App Store by simply searching by city, region, or AVA name.

The SBCVA and WDCV apps were developed in partnership with the winery associations and are compatible with the Apple iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. An Android version will be released in upcoming months.

“The success of our previous apps for the Livermore Valley, Santa Cruz, and Santa Clara Valley wine regions made these apps a natural progression in our development,” says Heidi Komlofske, president of 1776 Productions, the parent company of GoLocalApps. “With the growth of smart phone usage, more local regions and organizations are going to want their own app, focusing on just their needs, and not a part of a larger regional app,” she continues.

Jim Fiolek, Executive Director of SBCVA says “I’m not sure this is something I should admit – but GoLocalApps was ahead of us the entire way. Before I thought it, they had it done already…and, even better than I thought it would be! Did you ever see MASH? Kinda like how Radar was with Colonel Blake.” He goes on to say “We’re very excited to have this app as a part of our marketing and promotional efforts and having it available in the Apple App store, free of charge, in time for the 2011 Vintners’ Festival weekend, April 15th – 18th.”

The Dry Creek Valley wineries app will be available in time to help wine tourists get around the valley during the annual Passport to Dry Creek Valley, April 30 and May 1. Kelly Ferris, marketing coordinator for the WDCV says, “Now, planning a visit to Dry Creek Valley is as easy as pushing a button. Search our wineries by location or varietal, check out our Wine Trails, then find a restaurant or place to stay in Healdsburg. Everything you could want to know about visiting Dry Creek Valley is now at your fingertips!”

Currently in development is an app for the Lodi Winegrape Commission, providing a guide to the Lodi wineries and local restaurants, hotels, and shopping with an estimated release date of late April — in time for their ZinFest Wine Festival, May 13th – 15th. Following on the heels of Lodi will be an app in partnership with the Sacramento’s Midtown Business Association.

All four apps join the growing portfolio of smart phone apps released by GoLocalApps, including the recently released First Friday Santa Cruz art walk app, Wineries of Santa Clara Valley app, and the Pleasanton Downtown app.

About GoLocalApps:
GoLocalApps (www.golocalapps.com) is a subsidiary of 1776 Productions and focuses on local and regional apps that help communities and organizations directly reach their customers and visitors while they are on the go. The GoLocalApps platform is being used by Main Street communities, wine associations, monthly art walks, business organizations and travel guide companies throughout the U.S. Their philosophy is to develop mobile apps that are fun for the customer and their users and that technology should be in the background, providing a smooth user experience.
